Sundance to Devil's Tower

Sundance to Devil’s Tower Ride a panoramic of green hills and long distance views of the tower
In the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind, people were obsessed with going to the natural structure that has been drawing them to it. The structure was Devil’s Tower. After Richard Dreyfuss makes a mold of Devil’s Tower out of mashed potatoes, he made the pilgrimage to the tower. And the vision of the tower for miles on the road from Sundance to Devil’s Tower is interesting and awe-inspiring.
Take Highway 14 out of Sundance to Highway 24 at, appropriately, Devil’s Tower Junction.
The long-sweeping curves through the uber-green hills of eastern Wyoming are refreshing not only for the lean factor and rolling on the throttle out of them but for the expansive scenery. Elevation changes through the hills provide glimpses of Devil’s Tower and show the immensity of the landscape.
The Bottom Line
It’s a beautiful ride. The scenery is terrific and it’s a good road to ride. This is definitely a recommended road.
