Erie lakeshore drive doesn’t have great scenery but it’s not the interstate
The Road
Highway 6 from Sandusky to Bay Village hugs the shore of Lake Erie for about 35 miles.
The Ride
Imagining the ride along Lake Erie, I found myself viewing the lake as I cruised along on a sunny afternoon. It didn’t play out that way. The lake was only viewable in small glimpses and the road is highly traveled through several small towns.
I’m sure there are plenty of activities to do in those towns, but I’m reviewing the motorcycle ride. This isn’t a super motorcycle road, but it’s a nice alternative to riding through heavy traffic and interstates.
The Bottom Line
This isn’t a destination ride by any means. It’s a way to get through some of the Cleveland metro area without taking the big roads. It’s not bad, it’s just not awesome.
